Technology and the Environment have always been natural enemies. However, here at HTTP Simple we have always tried our best to ensure we “do our bit” to keep the Environment clean for future generations.

Hardware

We use Cloud technology not only to make your hosting more secure and stable, but also to save energy and resources by using advanced methods to keep unused servers in standby mode until they are required. All of our hardware is purchased to be energy efficient and this has a twofold benefit of cost and energy consumption, the administration of the hardware is also actioned remotely which greatly reduces carbon emissions from travel.

Certification

Being a Green company is far more, in our opinion, than simply buying carbon credits. We do not believe in snazzy logo’s proclaiming we are the number 1 Green company, as these “Green certification companies” concentrate on collecting large signup fees and self promotion rather than helping with issues they were created to provide assistance to. We’d rather spend the money be our infrastructure and also funding our own Green initiatives.

Paperless

Being a paperless business is something that has taken much time and attention, but the system we have developed has actually increased our efficiency with internal matters and external our customers have accepted email invoices etc seamlessly. Any paper that is used will always be from a recycled source.

As you can see we take our Green responsibility very seriously and have given our policies great thought, however we stop short of using this policy as a method of promoting our service. The Environment should always be a major consideration and we believe our customers can see past any attempt to use an issue of such a necessity as a promotional tool.
